Terms of Service

The agreement

These terms apply when you use Lanea, the wardrobe app at lanea.app (“Lanea,” “we,” “us”), operated by Cindy Brooks. By creating an account or using Lanea, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Lanea.

Who can use Lanea

You must be at least 16 years old to use Lanea. Lanea is currently in early access, which means accounts are by invitation and features may change as we improve the app.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping access to your email or Google account secure, since that’s how you log in to Lanea, and for everything that happens in your Lanea account. Let us know right away at hello@lanea.app if you think someone else has accessed it.

Your closet and photos

Everything you add to Lanea, such as item details and photos, stays yours. To run the app, you give us permission to store, process and display that content for you, and to share it with the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to provide Lanea (for example, to create outfit suggestions or remove photo backgrounds). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Please only upload photos you have the right to use. Avoid photos that show other people without their permission.

Outfit suggestions

Lanea’s outfit suggestions, item details read from photos, and closet tips are created automatically by AI. They’re meant as inspiration and can be wrong, for example about colors, dress codes or the weather. Please use your own judgment about what to wear.

Using Lanea responsibly

When using Lanea, please don’t:

• upload anything illegal, offensive, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• try to access other people’s accounts or data, or interfere with how Lanea works;
• copy, scrape or reverse engineer the app, or use it to build a competing service;
• use automated tools to send large numbers of requests.

Free trial and membership

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial with full access, and no payment details are needed. After the trial, you can still view, edit and delete everything in your closet, but outfit suggestions, swaps and adding new items require a paid membership. Before you buy, the price, billing period and how to cancel will be shown clearly, and any additional terms for the membership will apply.

To keep Lanea fast and fair for everyone, daily fair-use limits apply to AI features such as outfit suggestions and photo processing. Normal everyday use stays well within them.

Ending your use of Lanea

You can stop using Lanea at any time, and delete your account and everything in it from your Account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put Lanea or other people at risk, and we may change or discontinue the service. If we discontinue Lanea, we’ll try to give you reasonable notice.

Lanea’s name and design

The Lanea name, logo, design and software belong to us. These terms don’t give you any rights to them, other than to use the app as intended.

Disclaimers

Lanea is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we don’t make guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose, or that outfit suggestions will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Lanea. Our total liability for any claim relating to Lanea is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Lanea evolves. If we make significant changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the app. Continuing to use Lanea after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the laws of your place of residence require otherwise.
